That wonderful ex-employer of mine who is such a nasty human being, who I have named Dog Breath (becuause of his foul breath) hasn't been seen in the Eastbourne home for quite a while now, instead his wife is doing the visits.
I actually wonder why his wife (Mrs Dog Breath)has stood by him after having had her world fall through the floor when hearing about what her husband was accused of, but then she is cut from the same cloth. No morals, no interest in any one other than herself, unfair, a liar and totally delusional.
It makes you wonder have things finally caught up with him? The case that has been brought against him is still ongoing, because the slimy toad is wriggling at every turn, telling lies, but getting caught out. Still the judge seems to have his measure as she isn't leaving any room for him to lodge an appeal over some slight mishandling, so she has afforded him yet another stay of execution. I just feel so sorry for the person who is still waiting for justice as this nasty, slimy creep still tries to squirm his way out of trouble.
The home itself is failing to hold onto staff still, and the reports going around are of a very unhappy home with staffing issues, mainly because good staff now avoid this home like the plague. One resident managed to fall down the stairs and survived, what I have been informed, was a broken neck. This was a lovely resident always chatting, now in pain and apparently just sitting in the lounge without saying much apart form appearing to be in pain, which is heart wrenching for those who are still there and knew her before.
I still haven't heard anybody from the Social Services have a good word to say about the home or its owners, and the word is that they are trying to wind up the company, it is thought as both the company and Mr Dog Breath were being taken to court over the accusations. I heard that when informed of this the judge turned to Mr. Dog Breath and said it wasn't just about the company, but about him so he would still be liable.

Saw an Advert Today
Well Mr Dog Breath is running out of carers in his home in Eastbourne. Great big advert in the Friday Ad, but the homes name wasn't mentioned, could it be because if the home is named there would be little or no response to the advert, well at least from the best carers?
I would have loved to have run an advert next to it saying.
"If you get a job in this home expect to be abused and used, and when you decide you have had enough and want to leave, expect your final pay packet to be raided so this evil home owner can claw back every penny for himself, Oh and if you're female, WATCH OUT!"
Unfortunately don't think the Friday Ad would that though.
On a more upbeat note my home now has 18 residents and had 3 emergency admissions in under a week, came through Adult Protection Investigation with flying colours (see this link) and I am helping another home owner find a good manager.

Double Standards by an Ambulance Crew!
Last Thursday 28th October my night staff rang me and left a message on my answerphone to say that she was ringing 999 to call an ambulance as one of my residents had asked for an ambulance to be called as she was in so much pain, and had used the words, ‘I’m dying’. The call to my phone was at 5.51am, before 6am I rang her back and after a very brief discussion I was handed over to the attending ambulance crew.
I gave this crew member full information including what I knew to be wrong with this resident, (Chronic constipation), the fact that we had called the GP the day before and requested a home visit, which was refused! And that I was taking her to a hospital appointment later that morning.
I thought that that would be the end of it, but boy was I wrong!!!
This ambulance crew member despite talking to me, the manager, decided to call Social Services and place an adult protection alert. When I found out I was furious, a few simple questions and everything could have been made clear, but this spineless individual decided to let others do his work for him, and when the investigation took place I found out what the complaint involved and I was even more angry and made it known to the investigating officer.
It appears that they thought that my night staff didn’t have good enough spoken English for them!! Yet she communicates with the staff including accurate handovers, and the residents and they can all understand her. I also found out that it was stated that the residents toilet door was broken and there was no toilet roll in the toilet and they had concerns about this residents living conditions.
As I said earlier whilst he had me on the phone a few well placed questions would have sorted all this out. My night staff can make decisions and acted appropriately, she made the correct legible entry in the day notes and contacted the on call phone. Whereas the ambulance crew did nothing, here was a lady with chronic constipation who had only recently been released from hospital, and they walked away.
This resident has mental capacity although some short term memory loss, but knows when she is in pain. She also has mental health problems and cleaning here room to the homes satisfaction has to be organised with military precision, getting her agreement in writing with day and date, even then she is resistant, this is all well recorded. Also whenever she is admitted to hospital her room is cleaned as quickly and as thoroughly as possible including washing all her clothes.
Her toilet door wasn’t broken as reported and there was toilet paper in the toilet, but the toilet roll holder was broken (now replaced) as most people know that the elderly will use anything to help themselves get up, even if there is a grab rail in place, and by its very nature of where it is placed, a toilet roll holder is a handy aid to get up!
I was able to show the investigating officer, daily notes, GP proforma, Care Plans, Risk Assessments, Night staff file, New Emergency file if ambulance has to be called, Training matrix, letters to residents solicitor, hospital transfer letters. Copies of many of these were taken and it was obvious that our audit trail was very complete, I was asked to complete a risk assessment for this residents health and this was done within the next 24 hours and the emergency file was completely updated and improved.
Why am I complaining so bitterly?
I saw this as a moral-less, spineless attack on my night staff, almost racial discrimination, also an attack on the home, in particular as the crew member who I believe made the complaint actually spoke to the manager of the home (me) and raised no concerns at the time, but had to do it in such a way that resources have been squandered, in particular as the home has just had three emergency admissions and I have been deflected away from writing the care plans for these people.
It seems to me that certain ambulance crew members see themselves as judge and jury without full knowledge, are not prepared to ask questions before acting like a bull in a china shop, but they can walk away from an elderly vulnerable resident in pain, without taking any action and get away scot free.
There are real double standards here, but bet if I made a complaint to the ambulance service now, it would be seen as getting revenge rather than trying to ensure that my residents get fair treatment and the home is dealt with in a fair and unbiased manner including its staff.

Another Titbit About He Who Must Not Be Named
I heard yesterday that the solicitors he employed to help him with defending his case that K**** has brought against him has suddenly hit a brick wall.
It appears that his solicitors Cohen's have pulled out of representing him. Knowing how difficult he is to deal with I can understand this and sympathise with the solicitors as this man never sees himself as being in the wrong or even capable of being wrong.
I must say when I got the news the reply text was, "Ha Ha Ha".
Hopefully he has shot himself in the foot and he will lose this case and it will lead to his demise.
I have also had to complain to CQC about this company as I have sent two reference requests to them and haven't even had an acknowledgement, but they insist on getting references themselves, he does like double standards and his wife is no better.

Revenge is Sweet
Things for my previous employer are going from bad to worse, and no one feels any sympathy for him!
Poor Leah had her check cancelled by him before it could be cleared, I heard today (26/10/10) that she finally did get paid, but only after she had to suffer at his hands again.
K**** is winning her case against this evil man, to the extent that his offers went up from a laughable amount to £18,00 in two jumps, but now he knows he will lose and could find himself on the sex offenders register, not only that but I am waiting to talk to CQC about him and his lack of action in a certain area.
I wonder if his daughter knows what a thoroughly nasty man her father is, and that he is at risk of being placed on the sex offenders register, has been thoroughly investigated by the police who have suspicions of further dubious dealings from this person?
Me I am smiling all over my face, and mainly thanks to a phone call from K**** last night with the latest episode, and an article today by Janet Street-Porter about revenge and how sweet it really is, had me laughing and of course I couldn't help but make a comment about this previous employer and the way revenge is being played out, it may be coming via a third party, but many people are enjoying the terrible situation he now finds himself in.
One of the most interesting items to emerge from this is something that has now disappeared from the net, but originally you could Google 6328 / name of the company, (I still have to be careful or else he sets his dogs on me) and what you found was that it led you to the HM courts site which had this man's company listed as an application to be wound up. It appears this has been withdrawn, but it is all being followed by closely by many people, mainly ex-employees who have and axe to grind over his treatment of them. It is believed that this was a ploy to try and show that he had no money and was in dire straits, but what he doesn't know is that his web site with yet another business is still available to all and it is his name and reunion. Mind you the pictures of the apartment make it look like a tarts boudoir!, but that just shows how common he is.
I am sure that with all the information that can be readily gathered from the net alone (I have saved this site in case it gets removed!!) that K**** should be able to achieve a reasonable settlement for what she has had to put up with.
I did a search on the CQC website today just for the address of one of his homes locally and it doesn't show at all, that means that prospective clients will not be able to find this home either which will mean an advertising chance gone astray and hopefully a lack of prospective residents.
Finally just on a personal note, his breath hasn't improved apparently, it still smells as if he shits through his mouth, but then he is good at Bullshit so maybe it is just all coming out.

Latest News About My Ex-Employer
It gives me great satisfaction to report that I have a nice new cook at my latest home thanks to my ex-employer being unable to pay people correctly, she has already made a difference and both staff and residents are very happy.
Another member of his ex-staff has asked for my help in a case against him regarding non payment of annual leave she was unable to take as she was off sick with a pregnancy related illness.
Of course I have helped as much as I can and I have told this young lady I am also prepared to attend court as a witness for her as I can bring a lot of light to the way this appalling man treats his staff. He always claims to know and work within the law, but as been either taken to court or tribunal so often in the past that I'm surprised that he doesn't have a regular booking.
Thing is staff are leaving him in droves, his latest manager at his home where I used to work, already has a poor reputation around town, the tit bits I am picking up are leading me to suspect that the home will soon fall back to a zero star rating, already this home has lost the deputy manager of 11 years, cook and several long term member of staff, with another seriously looking for another job.
No one gives this man notice anymore as everyone has learnt that if you do he will abuse his position by making deductions from your final wage packet, whether entitled to or not, remember he made an unlawful deduction from my final salary, just before Christmas in 2009, and settled out of court in full, about three months after Christmas, this is one extremely nasty man.

Suing CQC
Heard the latest?
A certain idiot who I used to work for has decided in his wisdom to sue CQC. I believe this is factual, but this has had me in giggles for at least two days, even if it is untrue, which I doubt.
The reason for this event is that this idiot is blaming CQC for one of his homes only having 14 out of a possible 44 residents, the fact that all his homes (to the best of my knowledge) all have only a 1 star rating, because of him hasn't entered his tiny mind.
Take my case for an example. At his home in Eastbourne I was officially manager number 8 in under 5 years, and I was one of the longest serving in that home as I lasted a whole 10 months, unofficially I was number 12.
This same pattern has been repeated throughout all the homes this man owns, which makes you realise that there is only one common denominator which is himself. He is the one who interferes, who upsets people, who is unjust, unfair. I had to take him to tribunal, or should I say he settled before it got that far. Other managers and staff have also taken him to tribunal or the small claims court and I believe most, if not all have won against him and he has at least one case pending for September 30th where he will not be able to settle out of court, that one will go the whole way and the result could have him banned from entering any of the homes he owns, but of course that is not his fault.
I also believe that at least another two staff are lining up to take him to small claims or tribunal.
So lets get back to this wonderful piece of news, I openly offer my services to CQC to show what sort of man this is, I am more than prepared to offer myself as an anti character witness against him, I have to state very clearly after the way I was treated and what he put me and my family through revenge would be sweet, and if others who have worked for him know about this I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't a queue to assist CQC and hopefully watch him and his business empire crash and burn, maybe I shall send them an email this morning to offer my services, mind you I think they have enough on this foul plonker to win without any problem at all, they won't even break into sweat, if anyone deserves this it is him and his wife.

30th September
I have had some interesting information, if true, then maybe, just maybe, KARMA will occur for a lot of people, after all you can't constantly abuse people and get away with it forever sometime you have to face up to what you have done.

Last Laugh?
Those who have read my previous blogs about one of my last positions as a manager in a care home and the fight I had to put up just to get my pay due to me when I left that horrible man and his wife and their poisonous company, well good news trickled my way.
This couple own another care home in Norfolk way and it is registered for 44 residents, it currently has 14 residents making it light by 30 clients, I find this really poetic justice, not only that, but since leaving this companys employ, my whole world has turned full circle.
I have taken my latest home from 7 residents to 17 (almost full) and all my previous contacts in the social services who seemed to ignore me when employed by this company have suddenly started to talk to me and send business my way at a speed I can barely keep up with, just for instance in the past 14 days we have had 5 admissions all on respite, one full time resident soon to join us and another respite due on Saturday 3rd July.
I have also had the greatest of pleasure of having had several enquiries for dementia placements and being able to guide those enquiries to every home apart from my previous employers home.
I also hear he has now lost the best deputy manager he had, again someone who was fed up with the totally stupid way this couple run their business. How long will they last who knows, not long I hope, they have an appalling reputation in Eastbourne, and I believe in other counties they currently run homes in as well.
I know how to turn their business around, but I wouldn't work for this couple for even £2,000 per week after deductions I would rather sit back and watch them slowly and painfully sink, good riddance to bad rubbish I say and the sooner the better.

Cut Off Your Nose to Spite Your Face
Round 1 to me
Won against my previous employer, but under the terms of the agreement I cannot run him down, tell people what the settlement was, or apparently shoot him with my bow!
But this person is stupid, as I have just had agreed by the tribunal service a second claim to regain the remainder of the money that was unlawfully deducted from my salary, so this idiot will have to go through the same process all over again.
Will he employ bloodsuckers again? Isn't it silly that a so called businessman can make such a stupid mistake just to 'hurt' someone before Christmas, then almost as soon as Christmas has passed offer to repay most of what had been deducted, but in the process has employed two different solicitors at what cost? So the question that I once put to him remains, do you know what a,'Costs Benefit Analysis' is and the answer to that from this sub human should be NO, otherwise why would they make such stupid and irresponsible mistakes that have such costly repercussions on their business?
Now we have part two in progress, I did warn both him and his bloodsuckers that I would be taking this route of yet further action to reclaim the final amount deducted, this is going to cost him yet more money as he never does anything himself as he can't read or write properly, (even one line emails have been a joy and wonder to behold, with the misuse of English)so here we go again, it has cost me nothing, but a little bit of my personal down time, but the financial cost to him has been mounting, and I would think at a goodly pace as I have deliberately drawn things out so that extra letters have had to be sent at a cost, but being an idiot he has had to keep paying.
The silliest thing is that he had the chance to pay the whole amount in one go, he refused so that gave me the perfect opportunity to strike again. Maybe I should set up a help line for all of his employees and guide them as to how to screw this sub human as much as possible.
I have to admit that I am rather sad that this is coming to an end, I haven't had so much fun for ages, at least the next payment will buy me a few more arrows ready for the Summer season.

Won against my previous employer, but under the terms of the agreement I cannot run him down, tell people what the settlement was, or apparently shoot him with my bow!
But this person is stupid, as I have just had agreed by the tribunal service a second claim to regain the remainder of the money that was unlawfully deducted from my salary, so this idiot will have to go through the same process all over again.
Will he employ bloodsuckers again? Isn't it silly that a so called businessman can make such a stupid mistake just to 'hurt' someone before Christmas, then almost as soon as Christmas has passed offer to repay most of what had been deducted, but in the process has employed two different solicitors at what cost? So the question that I once put to him remains, do you know what a,'Costs Benefit Analysis' is and the answer to that from this sub human should be NO, otherwise why would they make such stupid and irresponsible mistakes that have such costly repercussions on their business?
Now we have part two in progress, I did warn both him and his bloodsuckers that I would be taking this route of yet further action to reclaim the final amount deducted, this is going to cost him yet more money as he never does anything himself as he can't read or write properly, (even one line emails have been a joy and wonder to behold, with the misuse of English)so here we go again, it has cost me nothing, but a little bit of my personal down time, but the financial cost to him has been mounting, and I would think at a goodly pace as I have deliberately drawn things out so that extra letters have had to be sent at a cost, but being an idiot he has had to keep paying.
The silliest thing is that he had the chance to pay the whole amount in one go, he refused so that gave me the perfect opportunity to strike again. Maybe I should set up a help line for all of his employees and guide them as to how to screw this sub human as much as possible.

What a Week!!!!
Well another 50+ hour week behind me, but worth it, two more residents shortly joining us, one respite and one permanent, with another viewing on Monday morning. We have lost one resident to hospital and another two need nursing care, but I am now selling double rooms as premium rate single rooms and filling them.
Still got this tribunal thing playing on my mind and this weekend I shall either seek legal advice or do my own research, but I am still confident that I can show that my previous employer has played a very dirty game with me at a very emotive time and I am confident that I will win my case and get the compensation I seek, but more than that I am getting a great deal of pleasure knowing that this is costing him a lot of money, not just with the bloodsuckers he has employed, but by loosing clients as I have had three enquiries for dementia places and as we are not registered I have given the people enquiring, names of every home I can remember except for his. He forgets he is taking me on in my own town, where I have an excellent reputation.
I am still impressed that Mr. F, can spend so much money and time (time is also money)just to avoid paying an extra £72, he has possibly lost at least treble that in bloodsucker fees, as they will now have to write to me again, more cost, I have offered to settle for the full amount deducted from my salary, but that cost him another letter, as I stated earlier thick as s**t comes to mind and shows he is not a good businessman.
I have my interview for Registered Manager in April, this time I hope that they don't forget that I passed. This will just be quite informal and I hope I get Mike again he is a really nice man and will laugh when he sees that I moved on so quickly from working with Mr. F. after all he knows what it is like working this man who is currently on manager number 8 since 2005, is that a record? Maybe the Guinness Book of Records should be contacted!
Suppose to be off to Worthing for their field shoot tomorrow (Sunday) but yet more storms are predicted, so I suppose I shall spend more time drying off my equipment after the shoot than actually shooting, I really need to improve, my scores have been dropping, but with what is going on in my life with this tribunal, turning another home around and my ill daughter its not really a surprise.

The Eagle Cares Little
Having to be careful, those who know my story will get the not so cryptic clue in the title.
Well his bloodsuckers have been back in touch, trying to coerce me with what appears on the surface to be a reasonable offer for papers to be exchanged and agreed, but they effectively only gave me 24 hours to decide, as a very busy man (currently working 11 hours a day) I have not got the time needed to make such a snap decision so I have rejected their plan, but told them that my original offer to settle for the full amount deducted, as stated in a letter from Mrs. F. dated 3rd December 2009 (after I had initiated the tribunal!!!!) was still on the table.
Mr. F. will of course reject this, so I am looking forward to making him look a complete fool at the tribunal as I can show via emails, that I was trying to correspond with him, but he refused to respond, obviously I keep all my emails, either sent or received in a special folder marked important, and just in case I also have a back up to this folder on my memory stick that goes everywhere with me.
The Eagle hasn't landed, the Eagle has crashed, I think that Mr. F is so used to people giving in to his bullying tactics that he has been caught out by my response and willingness to go all the way, I am now thinking about taking my story to the local paper as my reputation is completely sound in Eastbourne and with CQC, whereas the same cannot be said for Mr. F.
If anyone saw the film District 9 and can remember the camp warlord criminals and where they came from then you are on the right track of what I am having to fight.

Tribunal Day is Getting Closer
Well tribunal day is getting closer and I am feeling more and more confident, despite what his blood suckers say I think I have a very strong case and at the least I will get what he originally offered to settle for, I will have the last laugh though, because his so called 'pride' will not let him meet me half way I offered to settle for everything he deducted from my salary, only an extra £72 he chose not to accept and go running to his blood suckers, so they wrote another letter telling me not to contact him and we all know how much it costs for a blood sucker to raise their pen don't we? Even if it is just one line there will be a set charge, usually in the region of £50.
So far as he decided to involve blood suckers his bill must be climbing quite nicely. to me this is great if he hadn't of made the un;awful deduction it wouldn't have cost him anything, but being thick he is just cutting off his nose to spit his face and adding to his financial troubles, of which I know he has many.

Almost Full
Well I have been at The Chase only for just over two months, when I got there we had 7 permanent residents now we have 10 permanent residents with another joining us next week and we also have two respite residents with another joining us this month for 6 weeks.
So to my old employer I can laugh and stick up two fingers, he did me a real favour by being a complete a***hole, because I have moved onto bigger and better things. Its great that Social Workers ring me up and say weren't you at The S****s, and I can say yes, I had to get out because the owner was so appalling to work with, I can then go onto telling them what has happened e.g. the tribunal and the offer I have been made, it really hasn't done him any favours, maybe that's why we are filling up and he is being left behind.
The home is very happy, and there is a lot going on, we are developing as we go, the staff group has the potential to be one of the best I have ever put together, but is still in a fragile state as all new things can be, but I feel sure that things will develop well if they are nurtured.

The Chase cont
It has been an amazing ride so far.
When I started in December the home had 7 residents, now just over two months down the line we have 10 permanent residents and currently another 3 on respite with another due soon for 6 weeks respite.
I am swiftly running out of available rooms, but it is great. The Social Services have been extremely complementary about the work we have done and the improvements to the home. All the residents new files are up to date except for the new resident joining us today, and almost all the staff files have been completed.
We need to loose one more staff, maybe two, and get in those who want to work the way the home is going, then I think we will settle. It is almost time to start looking for a deputy, and I am thinking seriously of approaching Chris my former deputy, I would love to have her working with me again, and it would also be a coup against my ex-employer who is still being a real pain in the proverbial.
Tariq (owner) is up today with a bunch of workmen to work on getting the building set to rights and I am looking forward to this, we still get on very well, I think he can't believe how fast we are filling up and the new staff that have come on board and the quality of work that is being produced.

Thick as S**t
I got a letter from the snivelling cowards blood suckers today.
I am now not allowed to contact him, I have to go through the blood suckers. I had checked with ACAS and had agreement from my case advisor that, yes I could contact the snivelling coward directly and that we could come to a private agreement, but he has to keep running back to the blood suckers, they don't know what I know though.
This is costing him every time a letter has to be sent or a phone call made on his behalf, will they get paid, maybe eventually, considering I have had the Inland Revenue visit the home I was employed in by the snivelling coward, had phone call from at least two companies over unpaid bills, and have an order for cleaning materials and gloves rejected until a bill was paid, throwing Infection Control out of the window.
This is how the snivelling coward operates, it is fun to watch what is happening. In my new home I have had a queue of new residents for respite or for permanent placements whilst I believe the home I left of his still is working on reduced numbers. I have doubled the income for my new employer, he is struggling, my hope is that someone will go for bankruptcy, maybe his blood suckers if they don't get paid! How ironic would that be?

So I sent an email I would be willing to drop my claim including for compensation if the whole amount deducted from my wages were repaid, once the cheque had cleared (I have little trust in the man behind the company) I would contact ACAS and withdraw my claim as being settled.
After all, all I wanted was what had been deducted no more, but the stupidity of the man is that for a £72 difference he is now being taken to tribunal where I shall show ALL of my evidence and despite what his blood suckers say I will push for compensation, at the very least I shall make him look extremely small, petty and silly, mind you it is now common knowledge around Eastbourne what has been going on, after all I cannot be gagged for speaking the truth, and of course I make sure that what I say can be backed up either by an email, or some written evidence.

What a Week !!!!!
This has been one of the strangest and busiest weeks yet at the Chase and in my personal life. First on Monday my deputy went off sick, so I had to cover and that set me back. Then I got a message from ACAS about an offer made by my ex-employers 'representatives' (another word for blood sucking solicitors) they made me an offer against my claim for unlawful deduction from my salary just before Christmas, so this git thinks he can make life hard for me over Christmas, then essentially admit that, 'Oh I made a mistake!' and here is the money deducted, but I will still keep £72, what a scumbag, but things get better.
The week progressed at a speed that was incredible. Now I have left the employ of the last person I have suddenly become a welcome asset it seems. Social workers are speaking to me again, and the Chase is getting so much business we are finding it hard to keep up. Just this week we have had another permanent resident and another emergency respite, plus another view for a 6 week respite and another view booked for Monday.
Then I got a letter from my ex-employers 'representatives' (the blood sucking solicitors) with the offer confirmed, but with what I saw as a thinly disguised threat to enter the offer to the tribunal and to place a costs order warning against me. My human rights have been completely walked, no stamped all over, as the tribunal is due to be heard until April, yet they are trying to force me to accept the 'offer' immediately.
I had to remind them that I have basic rights and one of those is to make up my mind in my own time, and that I am entitled to claim compensation, which I have done considering the emotive time of year this happened and personal circumstances that my ex-employer had been notified about, and I still have the email to prove it with date and time stamp.
Funny though I found out that my ex-employer is viewed as toxic, a bad provider by a lot of people in Eastbourne, obviously I can't divulge who, but what is happening to me, and what has happened, along with my fight for justice is making him look even worse, as I am entitled to tell everyone what I am going through, obviously as a provider of CARE, this raises many questions, like if he does this to people who have worked hard to turn his home around, what else is he capable of?
Going back to the Chase. The staff group now seems to be settled and extremely happy and along with getting everything done, we are having a great laugh and the residents are benefiting from such a friendly and happy environment, not like the toxic one I have had release from. Tariq the owner is very happy and congratulations to him and his wife as they had a baby girl, he can see light at the end of the tunnel and we like each other a great deal he is relaxed and so am I,which makes for a great working partnership. My ex-employer could learn a great deal from Tariq, it might actually make him more human, although I think that is impossible.

What a Disgrace!!!
My previous employer made an illegal deduction from my wages and I am taking him to tribunal.
I was made an offer by his 'representatives' for a certain amount, and when I refused I was threatened with a costs order being placed against me.
Lets have a recap here, this deduction was made just before Christmas, so for my family to continue to have the Christmas my wife and I had planned for our children we had to break into our savings, loosing interest and being put through a very traumatic period.
When I made the claim I also claimed no more than £200 compensation for the heartache that this caused the whole family, and loss of interest from our savings. I am now being threatened and bullied by this company through their 'representatives' to accept what they want to pay, in other words they know they cannot win, but made my Christmas and my life hell over Christmas, and now still want to bully and harass me.

And so It Goes
Well things are still moving forward at The Chase and referrals are still coming in, took in another emergency two week respite the other evening with a happy Social Worker at the speed at which the home responded.
Today I am hoping to manage to get to London, something that has had to be constantly put off due to the weather, and I shall be submitting my application for registered manager. Talking of which I have heard that my previous employer now has manager number 8 since 2005 in place, with his current track record I give this no more than 10 months, I just hope that CQC are closely watching this, I also know that another member of staff may well be abandoning the sinking ship.
The Chase has decided to change the pharmacy we use as there have been far too many mistakes, and hopefully if all goes to plan we will be giving our current pharmacy 28 days notice at the end of this medication cycle. The new company have made assurances that they will help us achieve an excellent rating in medication and this has been backed up by a previous deputy of mine who is now a manager who have had similar problem with their branch of the pharmacy we are going to be saying goodbye to.
Staffing is now starting to settle down and I have been getting compliments from residents relatives about the organisation that is apparent to them. I have been told the home has a lovely relaxed and friendly feel and they can already see the improvements after only a month.

I still haven't changed my mind about the owner, what a lovely man, keeps in touch wants to know everything, but is now learning that he doesn't have to keep on my back as he can see the improvements and the fact that we are moving forward, we both estimate that in about 6 months everything will be in place and we are expecting to receive at the very least a good rating, whereas my last employer will struggle because yet again he has lost continuity, and I have to say that I now realise how lucky I was to find another position as I had been trying to leave only four months after I started, that person is a complete plank.

Out With The Old
As with every new venture, The Chase had accumulated staff I would never consider for a position in care, so the cleaning up process has begun. One staff has gone and I am hoping for two resignations on my desk on Monday, but I don't think that that will happen as they are too thick to realise who I aimed the Emergency Meeting at!
I have so far offered positions to two lovely young ladies and hope to start them soon. I still have a smug smile on my face as I am constantly getting phone calls re resident vacancies and it now is very apparent that my previous employer and his reputation were a mill stone around my neck, now that has been lifted, everyone wants to talk to me again and help me fill up my new home. I have to say no one has a good word to say about my previous employer!!
Roll on a couple of weeks when I have the definitive staff group in place all working to correct procedures, sickness now is limited to only one or two staff and they are on borrowed time, not just because of the sickness, but a general lack of communication and letting others down, you cannot do that when you are looking after an elderly vulnerable client group.

Happy New Year
I wish almost everyone a Happy and Prosperous New Year, there are unfortunately exceptions to this, and one particular person who I pray will finally get what they are owed ............................ bankruptcy and disgrace.
